Suicide is always a tragedy
Suicide is always a tragedy—but in itself it is not the unpardonable sin. The only sin God cannot pardon is the sin of rejecting Him.
So we have the question: you take your own life and what or if is the final verdict, as they say, and what will happen to you?
Scot Longyear:
Sin I'm going to speak really clear on this this is what I believe this is what several theologians would believe as well you may have a difference of opinion then you need to you need to wrestle down with God in scripture and in hard study but I will tell you this is suicide an unforgivable sin I will say this no it is not suicide is not an unforgivable sin, be Scot like you can't repent listen we're saved not based on a repentance of each one of our individual sins I know this is this is hard right but we commit sins that we don't repent of some that we're not even aware of and we're not saved based on our last act on Earth.
C. S. Lewis and Martin Luther the belief that suicide can be forgiven.
Rev. Billy Graham
Suicide is always a tragedy—but in itself it is not the unpardonable sin.
There was a movie, Soylent Green “1973”, that always interested me, and the Book of Job and various others on the subject.
One of the most provocative and best scenes is an old man choosing euthanize. He remembers very well that he has lived in a better world long ago, and he has seen enough. Even in 2024, the issue of euthanasia because you suffer from life itself (and not from some kind of disease) is very controversial. Then you have certain parties that want to trim the masses of the older generation and the Doctor Kevorkian’s of the world that will help you along, and now the number of countries legalizing it is growing.
And there are various others that I trust that have this same opinion. BUT the one thing that makes me sad is, if it was done, the look on God and Jesus' face when you kneel before them is that look as if to say, Why didn't you trust us enough to keep on striving? That look will be like my soul burning in hell, and you let Satan win. So will you hear the words no one wants to hear, “Depart from me, I never knew you”?
I can’t say that is a question that can only be answered until you see Jesus!
My best answer is, do I condone it "NO", but it's a daily battle with your own mind. It's one of those situations until it hits you. How do you deal with it? My answer, grab a Bible and a prayer!
SO WITH THAT MY MOTTO 4 LIFE:
PRAY “A LOT”
1 DAY AT A TIME
TRUST GOD
TRUST JESUS
TRUST THE HOLY SPIRIT
STAY ON THE STRAIGHT AND NARROW
READING YOUR BIBLE DAILY IS FUNDAMENTAL
1 Thessalonians 4:11
