The Lords Prayer Compared

There are several different versions of the “The Lord's Prayer” and I keep seeing people sharing the Lord's Prayer which that's great there doing it but do some of them know there's more than 1 version, so let's just look at a few shall we!

Catholic Version: The Lord’s Prayer (this is the one going around on Facebook right now)

Our Father who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us,

and lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory,

forever and ever.

Amen.

Then there's:

The Lord’s Prayer: Matthew 6:9-13 Version (KJV) 

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Then there's:

The Lord’s Prayer: Luke 11:2-4 Version (KJV)

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

 

Otterbein Version

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in Heaven. Hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.  For Thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever.  Amen 


So with that you have free will to choose whatever version you want that's why God gave us free will.
