Pray Confidently to God

King David faced difficulties and was threatened by many wicked oppressors. Without help and hope in the situation, David turned to God and prayed "(But) You, O Lord..." He used "But" to turn the hopeless situation to hope, from helplessness to confidence because he knew God is greater than his problem. David prayed confidently that God is his shield to protect him and God is his provider to give him glory. When David has no one to lift him up, God encourages him.

(If your a follower of Dr. Phil 1 of Oprah cronies he says anyone that uses the word "BUT" the next part of the sentence is a lie, HMM, well Dr. Phil if your a man of God as you say you would read this about King David and change your mind)

Prayer: Father Lord, we declare that you are our shield and our provider. In all circumstances we are facing, Holy Spirit, help build up our sense of security in You alone. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.
